*...backward win...*

One of my student's favourite quotes is "you're doing it wrong"... I'm not sure where it came from or when it started, but in order to get a laugh in class it'll be said a couple times a day - most often when someone really is doing it wrong. When I tried to figure out how my basketball team had a 1-9 season record for wins, 0-4 tournament record, and had only 3 wins total under their belt (one regular season, 2 during tournament games), and yet KEPT WINNING IN PLAYOFFS... one of my students said, "you're doing it wrong" LOL

But I must be doing something right. Though we lost 9 out of 10 games, we landed in C division, won our first playoff by forfeit (it was a fog day and the coach didn't want to call the individual players to organize rides) and ended up in round 2 of the playoffs. We won THAT game 26-25 after playing some really sloppy defence in the last 3 minutes and letting 3 baskets fly by... talk about a close game.

Tonight however, at the semi-final game we started up by 14 and stayed up the whole time... we had a great team effort and finished the game 33-20. We're off to the Championship game tomorrow. I've never been to finals so this was all new for me. I'm also so nervous/excited for tomorrow and exhausted after a VERY LONG SEASON that I'm hoping we win and I'm totally looking forward to moving on with my life. Report cards are sneaking up on me ever so slowly and I keep getting more and more (albeit awesome) offers to be involved in different projects.

Anyway, I'd like to thing maybe I'm not "doing it wrong" but rather, doing it somewhat-right. LOL - lame, I know!
